EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT ASSOCIATION:
The Adirondack Chapter 602 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will hold its monthly general membership meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, at the Fulton County Airport off Route 67 east of Johnstown. The meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, was postponed due to the unexpected death of one of the members. The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in aviation. FOSTER PARENT MEETING:
A Foster Parent Information Meeting will be held on June 27at 4p.m. at the Services Building, 152 West High Street, Ballston Spa. Saratoga County is in need of foster homes for school-aged children and teenagers. The next certification class will begin in fall 2018. HALFMOON FARMERS MARKET:
The Halfmoon Farmers Market is set to open on Wednesday, June 20 at 3 p.m. To celebrate Opening Day a ribbon cutting will be held at 3 p.m.; refreshments will be served. The Farmers Market is located on Harris Road in the Abele Park at the Town of Halfmoon Municipal Center. The market will be open 3 p.m. – 6p.m. every Wednesday rain or shine through September 19.
JAZZ AT THE SPRING:

KARNER BLUE BUTTERFLY WALK:
The endangered Karner blue butterfly has two broods every summer. The first brood should emerge late in May and the second in early July. Take a look on the Old Gick Farm Trail for adults that are searching for nectar and mates in the open meadows. The 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. walks will be cancelled if it is raining. Each walk lasts for about an hour. Please park in the lot by the Saratoga Sandplains Sign on Route 50 half a mile north of King Road. Registration is strongly encouraged. Karner Blue Butterfly Walks will be held Wednesdays through June 27.

VOLKSWALK SCHENECTADY:
A volkswalk is a recreationally-paced, pre-mapped walk in a culturally or historically interesting area. They are
planned with safety in mind, and are great opportunities for exercise and sociability. On June 27, a guided walk through Schenectady starts at 9 a.m. at from Union College, 450 Nott Street. Registration for each event starts ½ hour prior to the walk and the cost is $2. Further information is available at www.walkescv.org. WILDLIFE WEDNESDAY: Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site hosts environmental educator George Steele on June 27 at 6:30 p.m. for the first in the 2018 Wildlife Wednesday program series. Steele will lead a walk that explores different areas of the historic site around the Visitor Center while watching and listening for various bird species. The walk will take place along the banks of Schoharie Creek and on historic site trails, which were formerly the towpath for the Erie Canal. The program will meet outside the Visitor Center at 129 Schoharie Street, Fort Hunter. There is no charge, but donations are always appreciated.
