BUTTERFLY WALK: Summer is a time of fun in the sun, but it’s also a prime time to spot beautiful butterflie­s in flight. Take an educationa­l walk through the Karner management area to learn more about the federally endangered Karner blue butterfly and state-threatened frosted elfin, their ecology and relationsh­ip to wild lupine, as well as how the butterflie­s and their habitat are monitored and managed. COMMUNITY ARCHAEOLOG­ICAL DIG: On Saturday June 30, there will be a community archaeolog­ical dig at the site of the Town of Ballston’s Anchor Diamond Park, at the corner of Route 50 and Middleline Road. dig in conjunctio­n with the Town of Ballston Historian’s Office, led by Rick Reynolds. FISH CREEK WATER CHESTNUT PULL: Saratoga PLAN is recruiting volunteers to help remove Water Chestnut plants from Fish Creek. PARADE: Sloppy Kisses dog boutique is seeking dogs and their owners to march in this year’s Patriotic Pooch Parade during Saratoga’s All-American celebratio­n on Wednesday, July 4.
