TIMOTHY (MICHAEL) LITTLE

-

STILLWATER – It is with profound sadness that the family of Timothy (Michael) Little on June 28, 2018, passed away at Saratoga Hospital after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. Tim was 65 and continued to be a vigilant fighter to the very end. Tim was born on April 17, 1953 in Saratoga Springs, New York, the son of the late Arthur and Thelma (Schultz) Little. Tim’s love for horses made him a true and knowledgeable horseman. He had a lifelong association with horses, first with standardbreds and then thoroughbreds. He and his wife Anne own and operate Mill Creek Farm in Stillwater, a Thoroughbred Farm specializing in breeding and raising horses. For over 30 years horses have been cared for by the Mill Creek farm for owners from all over the country. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved working and hunting on his property in Cambridge, NY. He was a lifetime member of the Harness Horse Breeders of New York and the New York Thoroughbred Breeders. Left to cherish his memory of 30 years is his beloved wife Anne (Morgan) Little; and his children Michael Joseph (Sam) and Samantha Anne. Tim was blessed with one grandchild Timothy Allen (Taz) who adored his poppy and his four-legged son Nicholas J. Russel; survived by his elder brother Sam (Mary) Little of Michigan, sister Betty (Bob) Kirkpatrick of Saratoga Springs and brother Gary of Ballston Spa.; also, many nieces and nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Weibecke and Carol Phillips. Tim will be greatly missed by family and many friends but, he leaves us with a legacy of dedicated hard work. He could be stern at times, but devotion and fairness were his principles in life. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York. Family and friends may call from 12 noon to 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mollie Wilmot Radiation Oncology Center, in his name. The family would also like to express their appreciation for the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Saratoga Hospital for their great compassion during this difficult time.
