Spa City resident assaulted, cops say
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » Two men have been charged with second-degree robbery following an incident late Monday night on Henry Street.
City police say officers responded to a 911 call, of someone yelling for help, at about 11:40 p.m. Monday.
Upon arrival, police said, officers discovered a 58-year-old male Saratoga Springs resident who had been assaulted and robbed of his wallet. The victim sustained numerous cuts and abrasions, but his injuries were not life threatening and it’s believed his assailants did not use any weapons.
Through the assistance of civilians in the area, police said, two suspects were quickly located and taken into custody for the robbery.
Scott F. Luciano, 32, of Gal-
way, and Shane A. Nadolny, 40, of Ballston Spa, were found near Phila Street and charged with seconddegree robbery.
The case is under investigation by members of the Criminal Investigations Unit. The motive, as well as other facts behind the robbery, are part of that investigation, police said.
Both men were arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail for lack of bail.
Police say Luciano sustained a cut to his nose before officers located and took him into custody.
