Therese Ann Cornell 91 passed away peacefully, with husband Julian “Doc” Cornell of 67 years by her side, on July 24, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born January 19, 1927, in Schuylervi­lle, New York, her hometown forever in her heart. Therese certainly enjoyed a fulfilling life of happiness and love with her husband, family and friends. Her beautiful smile would always brighten up any occasion. Therese worked for “The GE” in Schenectad­y, NY, as an administra­tive assistant. In Colorado Springs, Colorado she worked many years for Walter Drake, she also work at the dog track as a cashier. She enjoyed working for her family and making friends along the way. Throughout her life, Therese enjoyed dancing, music, camping and traveling coast to coast with her husband in their Winnebago motor home. She also was a fantastic cook and her delicious New York McIntosh apple pies were simply THE best. Survived by her husband Julian D. Cornell, married in January 1951. She was a devoted military spouse, a caring mother to her children, grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. Children: Lynn Cornell of Aurora, CO; Stephanie (Dave) Boyle of Colorado Springs, CO; Laurie Cornell of Tully, NY; Larry (Gail) Cornell of Tucson, AZ and Scott (Melanie) Cornell of Colorado Springs, CO. Grandchild­ren: Amy (Jim) Lindquist, Jason (Emily) Boyle, Tyler Cornell, Kaleb Cornell, Zack Cornell, Julianne Cornell and Seth Cornell. Great-grandchild­ren: Hailey Boyle, Edwin Lindquist, Nora Lindquist and Jason Boyle Jr. Brother-in-law: Frank Tynan of Saratoga Springs, New York. She also had many nieces (notably Liz Tynan), nephews and numerous friends that she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her Father & Mother Harold and Lauretta (McCarty) Cormie of Schuylervi­lle, New York. Sisters Jane (Joseph) Willette of Schuylervi­lle, New York; Marie (Don) Young of Schuylervi­lle, New York; Marilyn (Jim) Mitchell of Troy, New York and Joyce Tynan of Saratoga Springs, New York. Internment at Pikes Peak National Cemetery upon completion. A celebratio­n of life will be scheduled at a later date.
