MARKET: The Ballston Spa Farmers’ Market, sponsored by the Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association (BSBPA), resumes Saturday, June 16 and and runs Thursdays from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon through September 29 in Wiswall Park, at the corner of Front Street and Low Street. The market features 100% locally grown produce, farm fresh agricultural products, flowers, herbs, baked goods, custom blended spices, dressings, marinades, handcrafted jewelry, and more. BRAIDING OUR HISTORY: A community event called “Braiding Our History” celebrates local Lake Luzerne history in conjunction with the National Day of the Cowboy through re-enactors, a mill tour, speakers, displays, postcards, photos, an audience participation project and Cowboy Honor Awards. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at Pagenstecher Pulp Mill Park near the corner of Route 9N and Mill Street in Lake Luzerne. BRITISH MOTOFEST: The 28th annual British Motorfest marks the 40th anniversary of the Adirondack Triumph Association. All British cars and motorcycles welcome. CLTA FOUNDER’S CELEBRATION: Classic Legacy Thoroughbred Aftercare (CLTA) is a certified 501(c) (3) nonprofit in Virginia with a mission to protect the legacy of former Thoroughbred racehorses by providing a supportive quality of life with personalized rehabilitation, rehoming, and sanctuary. CLTA hosts the Founder’s Celebration & Cocktail Party on Wednesday, August 1, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs. The Founder’s Celebration will include a night of live music by Tim Ortiz, hors d’oeuvres catered by The Brook Tavern, and bottomless Virginia wine & beer—all included in the $50 entry ticket price. KARNER BLUE BUTTERFLY WALK: Karner blue butterflies of the second brood have been observed at Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park. The most accessible trails for observing the endangered butterflies are at Camp Saratoga where the trail leaves from parking lot #1 on Scout Road. The other trails are Old Gick Farm and Fox which are accessed from parking areas off of Route 50, just north of King Road.
