BETA SIGMA PHI: Preceptor Beta Psi chapter, an affiliate of Beta Sigma Phi Internatio­nal sisterhood, will resume meeting on September 5 at 7 p.m., after a two-month summer hiatus. The chapter’s purpose is to gain and establish friendship­s, expand our horizons through cultural developmen­t and to provide service to our local communitie­s. Ann Deitz will be hostess at her home in Clifton Park. “Beginning Day” will be led by president Marcia Russell, who will introduce service and social activities for the 2018 - 2019 year. GALWAY LIONESS CLUB: The Galway Lioness Club Of Lions District 20W will hold their September dinner meeting on Wednesday, September 5, at the Galway Lions Club Building on East Street in Galway. Dinner will be held promptly at 7 p.m. Special guests Saratoga Lion Cheryl Lawyer and Guide Dog Clive will share informatio­n about the Guide Dog Program and the many ways in which it helps the blind and visually impaired. There will be a collection of non-perishable food items to benefit the Food Pantry of the Greater Galway Community Services Associatio­n. Items such as shampoo may also be donated. The Lioness Club September board meeting will be held immediatel­y following the dinner meeting. All Members are welcome to attend the meeting and share their ideas.
