STILLWATER 6, HOOSICK FALLS 1 >> Stillwater’s win was led by Brooke Pickett’s hat-trick Thursday afternoon. Stillwater led 3-0 at half because of goals from Pickett, Keelyn Peacock, and Teya Stale. In the second half, Hoosick Falls’ lone goal came from Maddy Walker in the 75th minute. Stillwater goalie Kiersten Conroy made three saves. Hoosick Falls’ Maddy Yeung made five saves. SHAKER 3, TROY 0 >> Shaker earned the Suburban Council win Thursday after leading 1-0 at half. Shaker’s Cassidy Careccia scored two in the win and Julia Roemer scored one. Troy goalkeeper Maddie Rifenberic­k made 19 saves and a penalty kick save. Shaker goalkeeper Carina Joslin made two saves. BETHLEHEM 8, ALBANY 0 >> Bethlehem scored four goals in the first half and four in the second to power their way to the Section Two win Thursday. Grace Hotaling had three goals, three assists. Jo Van Royen, Katie Sellers, Brianna Price, Piper Gregory, and Sophie Glassman each scored goals. Albany goalkeeper Sophia Goldsmith made 13 saves while Bethlehem’s tandem of Shannon Donnelly and Jourdan Van Amburgh didn’t need to make any. CAMBRIDGE 8, SPA CATHOLIC 0>> Cambridge had seven different scorers in Thursdays win with Vanessa Evans tallying two goals for the win. Sophie and Lily Phillips each tallied a goal. Taylor Stallmer, Rhiannon Darling, Sydney Benson, and Ruth Nolan all also tallied one goal in the win. BALLSTON SPA 1, SARATOGA 1>> The Ballston Spa Scottie’s hosted the Saratoga Blue Streams in a match that took a full one hundred minutes to determine the outcome. Regulation ended 0-0. Saratoga earned the go ahead goal in the first overtime when Liz Herman assisted Paris Fenoff. The Scottie’s Caitlin Wania found Sammy DeVito for the equalizer with a minute and a half left in the game. Both sides had multiple opportunit­ies to pull ahead throughout the game but, Saratoga had the best chance in the first half with a breakaway that was narrowly saved by a determined Shay Andress to keep the score level at zero. MECHANICVI­LLE 5, HOOSIC VALLEY 1 >> The Mechanivil­le offense came largely in part to a pair of goals from both Dani Rubino and Nevaeh D’Aloia. Jada Brown scored once as well. Hoosic Valley’s Lauren Reed scored the only goal for her club. Mehcanicvi­lle goalkeeper Savannah Bowie made seven saves. Mechanicvi­lle becomes 2-0 in both their league and overall record with the win. GUILDERLAN­D 2, AVERILL PARK 1 >> Neither team led at the half Thursday, but both teams tried to change that in the second half. Guilderlan­d’s Jaime Golderman and Lauren Conti each scored a goal to pilot Guilderlan­d to the 2-1 win. Averill Park’s goal was scored by Sydney Haskin. Guilderlan­d goalkeeper Molly DiCaprio made four saves. Averill Park goalkeeper Meg Glanton made 12 saves in the loss. SHENEDEHOW­A 3, COLUMBIA 1 >> Shen improves to 4-0 in league play and Columbia moves to 2-2 in league play after Thursday’s affair. Set scores were 24-26, 25-13, 25-22, and 2522. Shen was led by a balanced attack. Rohan Gangaraju, Nick Cardone, and Matt Van Dusen combined for 40 assists on the night. Columbia was paced by Jacob Curtis with 9 kills. Mechanicvi­lle’s highlights were Taylor Grayson’s 21 service points, five kills, and 11 aces, Kaitlin Coleman’s 15 service points, nine aces, nine assists, and Adriana Patenaude’s 11 service points. Galway Moves to 1-0 in the league and overall and Fort Plain fell to 0-1 in the league and 1-1 overall. Galway was led by Emma Smith who had 10 kills, 18 points, 3 aces, 1 block, and 17 assists and 11 digs. Lindsay Zawisa added 10 kills, 13 points, 3 aces, 8 assists, 18 digs. Hannah Hoffman added 22 points, 6 aces, and 22 assists. Katy Kurtzner added 32 digs and 12 points.
