Jason Breznak finally got past Warriors goalie Eric Schuman after two consecutiv­e stops. Tristan Shelhamer put in a through ball from Brian Bourne early in the second half. SHAKER 3, COLUMBIA 0>> Jack Acquario and Stephen Guidi provided everything the Blue Bison needed against Columbia Saturday afternoon, finding each other on three different occasions in the first 22 minutes of play for the Suburban Council win. ALBANY 2, SARATOGA 1 OT>> Despite out-shooting the Falcons on the road Saturday night, the Blue Streaks dropped the Suburban Council road contest, 2-1 in overtime. Saratoga’s Evan Farr scored the lone goal from an assist by Tyler Clute. NISKAYUNA 1, BURNT HILLS 0 >> George Tsakalakos scored in the first eight minues of the first half for the Silver Warriors as the deciding goal. Spartan goalie Sean Speck came up with a penalty kick save to keep the contest a one-goal game. Niskayuna out-shot Burnt Hills 11 to five. Speck finished with seven saves, Silver Warriors goalie Jimmy Joyce finished with one. SCHALMONT 2, SCHUYLERVI­LLE 1 >> In a rematch of last year’s Class B semifinal as Schuylervi­lle’s Michael Lanfear put a free kick on goal with less than seven minutes left in the first half. When Schalmont’s Ryan Taylor was unable to contain the oncoming shot, Zach Saddlemire buried it for the early lead. Down a man in the second, Schalmont’s Ryan Edwards converted a penalty kick. Matt Horwedel made the most of his final minute corner kick, finding Dylan Martin who headed the ball in for the gamewinnin­g tally. SHOTS: Schalmont 18, Schuylervi­lle 8. Daniel Leach scored for Mayfield 14 minutes into the game before striking again in the 32nd minute off a corner kick, Colbey to Josh Wasson. Tamarac responded tree minutes later as Max Ali sent a long ball at the goal that found its way in. In overtime Ali again scored from distance. Vanessa Jones, Kayla Novak, Madison Knowles and Morgan Connolly each tallied a goal for Colonie. In regulation, Abby Burns and Antonia Alfano found the back of the net for the Flying Horses. Ruth Hotaling added a goal and an assist. Grace Hotaling, Brianna Price, Jo Van Royen and Claire Hutton each added goals for the Eagles. MECHANICVI­LLE 1, COOPERSTOW­N 0 >> Jada Brown scored the contest’s lone goal, from an assist by Ryleigh Hopek as the Red Raiders remain unbeaten, 3-0 on the year. Mechanicvi­lle goalie Savannah Bowie made seven saves in the non-league win Saturday. SARATOGA 92, QUEENSBURY 74 >> Saratoga Srings took the away meet Friday afternoon as Rachel Love won both the 200-yard freestyle in two minutes, 3.26 seconds and the 500-freestyle in 5:30.53. Love also swam winning legs on both winning 200- and 400-freestyle relays. Elizabeth Baird won the 50-freestyle in 26.37 seconds. BURNT HILLS 106, NEW HARTFORD 62 >> Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake swimmer Jayna LaFeriere captured the 200-yard freestyle in two minutes, 12.76 seconds along with the 100-freestyle in 1:00.24 for the Spartans. She also swam a leg on the winning 200yard freestyle relay squad in 1:48.97. Emma Pausley won the 50-freestyle in 26.89 seconds with Sophie Olson winning the 500-freestyle in 5:45.48, Ally Frame capturing the 100-backstroke in 1:04.82 and Tia Jack winning the 100-breaststro­ke in 1:15.37. COLUMBIA 7, COLONIE 0>> The Blue Devils swept the Garnet Raiders in all six contested singles and lone doubles match as heavy rain late Thursday washed out the final two events.
