ART IN THE PARK: All are invited to Art in the Park on Saturday, September 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Historic Congress Park, Downtown Saratoga Springs. Art in the Park is a day of fine art in Saratoga Springs’ historic downtown Congress Park, curated and presented by Saratoga Arts. Featuring nearly 80 artists from the greater Saratoga and Capital regions, displaying and selling their original two- and three-dimensiona­l creations and personally-designed and crafted functional art in a beautiful park setting. Artists will be on hand to discuss their drawing, painting, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, photograph­y, printmakin­g, and work in other media. The event is free and open to the public.

BALLSTON SPA FARMERS’ MARKET:

The Ballston Spa Farmers’ Market, sponsored by the Ballston Spa Business and Profession­al Associatio­n (BSBPA), runs Thursdays from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon through September 29 in Wiswall Park, at the corner of Front Street and Low Street. A showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefu­lness, the Champlain Mini Maker Faire is an annual gathering of curious creators, builders, DIY-ers and tinkerers that are pursuing new ideas and embracing the growth of STEM/STEAM. CHRISTIE’S HEAR TO BERFEST:

The Tolosky family will host an Octoberfes­t-style event at the Orenda Pavilion in the Saratoga State Park on Saturday September 22, at 1 p.m. with beer, food, auctions and raffles. The 13th annual Christie’s Heartoberf­est will be held in memory of Christie Tolosky, local graduate of Shenendeho­wa High and Siena College, who died suddenly in 2005 at the age of 24 from Long QT Syndrome, an electrical disturbanc­e of the heart, which causes an abnormal heart rate.
