H. WINONA DOHENY

Bolton Landing - H. Winona “Nona” (Bryan) Doheny of Bolton Landing, NY, died September 15, 2018 in Ballston Spa, NY. She was 88. Born in 1929, in New York City, Nona was the daughter of Helen Winona (Mooney) and J. Buckley “Buck” Bryan. Her early years were spent in Albany, NY where she attended the “glass school” of Vincentian Institute. She graduated from Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit, NJ. Nona married Robert E. “Bob” Doheny of Milford, MA in 1953. The family moved to Ballston Spa, NY in l960 where they established the Doheny Oil Corporation, still family owned, and operating in Ballston Spa today. Nona loved spending time with the family at their summer home on Lake George. She and Bob traveled extensively and enjoyed scuba diving in many tropical locations. Nona was predeceased by her husband Bob of 56 years, and her brother Michael. Nona is survived by her daughter, K.W. Doheny, son Richard E. Doheny and his wife Mary, son Steven B. Doheny and his wife Nan, grandsons: Matthew, Bryan, and Buck, granddaughters: Shelby, Katherine Winona and her husband Anthony, Elizabeth and her husband Nick, great-grandson Henry, her brother J. Buckley Bryan. Jr. and close family friend, Debbie Fish. The family would like to thank Home of the Good Shephard - Malta Residence, as well as The Community Hospice – Saratoga. At Nona’s request there will be no calling hours. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
