Round two qualifiers were Saratoga’s Anthony Cavotta and Nolan Crowley’s 71’s, Saratoga’s William Braxton’s 72. Shen’s Paul Goetz shot a 75 along with Guilderlan­d’s Aidan Seery and Albany Academy’s Ryan Warnick. Both Saratoga’s Clarkie Carroll and Shen’s Luke Potter shot 76’s. Other qualifiers were Albany Academy’s Nick Lyons (77) and Aidan Fitzgerald (78), Shaker’s Ian Fitzgerald (81) and Alex Kelley (84), Niskayuna’s Jimmy King (81), Saratoga’s Brendan Joyce (82), CBA’s Chris Jorgenson (83) and Greg Wyman (84), Bethlehem’s Mike Mullen (83), and Shen’s Mike Westfall (83) and Jack Manning (84). MAPLE HILL 10, HUDSON 2 >> Maple Hill won the Patroon Conference Title Wednesday at Pheasant Hollow Golf Course thanks to John Russell’s match low 37, which was even par. Austin barden shot a 48 and eagled his final hole to win the match against Matt Bowes. FIELD HOCKEY HOOSICK FALLS 4, EMMA WILLARD 0 >> Hoosick Falls stays undefeated, now 9-0, with the win over Emma Willard, who falls to 3-6. Madelyn Kasulinous scored two goals and Emma McHart and Catherine Kennedy each scored one in the win. Emma Willard goalkeeper Kotis Kwok made seven saves, and Hoosick Falls’ Zoe Gress made four saves. GUILDERLAN­D 1, BETHLEHEM 0 >> Guilderlan­d’s win Wednesday was powered by Shea Thomson’s first half goal and goalkeeper Jazlyn Jimenez made one save. Bethlehem goalkeeper Kate Herrick made six saves. SHEN 1, SARATOGA 0 >> Lea Morlock’s second half goal was all the offense Shen needed to earn the win Wednesday over Saratoga. Toga goalkeeper Kristen Rodecker made two saves and Shen’s Abby Danson made four saves. Shen is now 10-1 this season. BOYS SOCCER TAMARAC 4, GREENWICH 2 >> Tamarac pulled away with the win Wednesday despite giving up two goals in the first 15 minutes. Tamarac improves to 7-4 overall this season and Greenwich falls to 5-6-2. Greenwich’s goals were scored by AJ Rymph and Charlie Gartner. Tamarac goals were scored by Alex Bassey, Max Ali, and Dylan Briccetti. Tamarac also was given a goal thanks to an own goal from Greenwich. STILLWATER 4, HOOSICK FALLS 0 >> Stillwater picked up the win Wednesday with the shut out over Hoosick Falls. Stillwater goals were scored by Isaac Cutler, Jake Zdonick, Grant Baker, and Jack Rubenstein. ALBANY ACADEMY 3, LANSINGBUR­GH 0 >> Connor Smith scored two goals for Albany Academy in route to the 3-0 win over Lansingbur­gh Wednesday. Sam Sundwall scored in the other Albany goal. Lansingbur­gh goalkeeper Grant Laustrup made four saves in the loss. Albany Academy’s Chris Hanchar made three saves. MECHANICVI­LLE 10, BERLIN 0 >> Mechanicvi­lle’s Jeff Luce’s hat trick in the first ten minutes of Wednesday’s match to power Mechanicvi­lle to the win over Berlin Wednesday. Mehcanicvi­lle goalkeeper Riley Duesler made four saves to earn the shut out. Other Mechanicvi­lle scorers were Zach Rapaccioul­o, Chris Ciccarelli, Zach White, Marcus Tobin, Riley Duester, and Kevin Charette. SHEN 6, BALLSTON SPA 0 >> Shen’s Ethan Brunell scored two goals to power Shen to the win over Ballston Spa Wednesday. Along with Brunell, Jaylin Sykes, Ben Kogan, Sean Nolan, and Dallas Jones. GIRLS SOCCER GREENVILLE 3, MAPLE HILL 1 >> Maple Hill fell to Greenville Wednesday, making their record 6-5 this season. Maple Hill’s goal was scored by Sidney Tuttle. Greenville’s goals were scored by Alexis Caprio, Morgan Whitbeck, Megan Misuraca. Maple Hill goalkeeper Hannah Brewer made 12 saves. HOLY NAMES 2, SCHALMONT 1 >> Holy Names picked up the win over Schalmont Wednesday thanks to goals from Megan Marini and Ava Panto goals. Schalmont’s goal was scored by Ashley Cirilla. Holy Names’ goalkeeper Kathleen Harris made 11 saves and Schalmont’s Eden Messemer made ten saves. CAMBRIDGE 7, WATERFORD 1 >> Cambridge picked up the win over Waterford Wednesday thanks to Vanessa Evans’ hat trick. Along with Evans, Lilly Gates, Taylor Stallmer, Anna Headwell, and Sydney Benson each scored a goal. Annelise Rebel scored the lone Waterford goals. Cambridge goalkeeper Brecke Gifford made ten saves and Waterford’s Caer Burns made 17 saves. CATSKILL 2, TACONIC HILLS 0 >> Wednesday’s game was originally scheduled to be played in Catskill but due to field conditions the location had to be moved. Katie Bulich scored both goals, Maci Mosher contribute­d an assist. Alexandra Skabowski had 8 saves in goal for the Titans. Laura Christman had 1 save for the Cats. Catskill improves to 13-0 overall, 11-0 in the Patroon. ALBANY ACADEMY 5, COHOES 3 >> Sarah Richardson and Morgan Sears both scored two goals to power Albany Academy goal Wednesday. Mia Milliken scored the other Albany goal. Cohoes’ goals were scored by Caileigh Miron (2) and Hannah Ragule. Cohoes goalkeeper Laura Levitus made 17 saves and Andrea Mullen made 12 saves. Derek Haughey had 25 assists, three kills, three blocks, and two aces. Jake Baker had 14 kills and three aces. Alex Hromada had eight digs, five kills, and three aces. Shen’s Jehrami Palmer had five kills. BETHLEHEM 3, GUILDERLAN­D 0 >> Bethlehem boys varsity volleyball defeated Guilderlan­d 3 games to 0 by the scores 25-22, 25-22 and 25-14. Bethlehem was led by Caleb Federman’s 31 assists and Erik Salo’s nine kills. Bethlehem is now 9-1 in suburban council play and 13-2 overall having won the Burnt Hills Midseason invitation­al tournament this past weekend.
