SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> The Saratoga International Flavorfeast returned Saturday, with 29 eateries participating in the downtown event.

Francine Dingeman and Ashley Dingeman brought the event to Saratoga Springs five years ago because they believed the city could use an event featuring ethnic foods.

It was created to bring greater awareness to the richness of local diversity, while celebrating the worldly culinary styles and people that give this area its unique flair.

Food was obvious the main ingredient to Saratoga International Flavorfeast, but in the Fingerpaint parking lot there was a photo booth, face painting, music and more.

“There’s something for everyone. We wanted it to be colorful,” said Francine Dingeman. “There are a lot entertainers roaming about. We have Mary Poppins; we have a bag piper, penny whistler and violinists.”

Participating restaurants included Prestwick Chase, Three Vines Bistro, Morton’s, Inn at Saratoga, Mexican Connec-
