Pop Flashback set for Friday

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> An upcoming SaratogaAr­tsFest Pop Flashback event is inviting all to recapture a rocking good time as they rock through the ages on Beekman Street.

Nonprofit SaratogaAr­tsFest and Beekman Street Arts District are coming together in a special collaborat­ion, so event-goers can have a blast while enjoying the past at a free Arts Fest Friday festival from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday throughout the Beekman Street Arts District.

Attendees can “make the scene” at this Pop Flashback ’50s and ’60s event, where they will be immersed in some of our country’s most nostalgic and feel-good activities from this era.

Guests can peruse a lineup of classic cars, participat­e in costume and dance contests and hang out with strolling performers.

This family-friendly evening will also include musical hits featured on the widely-loved show American Bandstand.

While in the neighborho­od,event attendees will also have the opportunit­y to explore Beekman Street’s incredible lineup of vendors, restaurant­s and art studios.

This free event is open to the public and is presented in the spirit of SaratogaAr­tsFest’s mission to support visibility and participat­ion in the arts. Additional support is provided by Beekman Street Arts District, an organizati­on devoted to celebratin­g and promoting the history and art of Saratoga Springs’ west side.
