Holiday Art Fair scheduled for Nov. 10-11
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> A Holiday Art Fair is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 10 and 11, at the National Museum of Dance.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Many of the featured artists featured are new to the show. Others participated in this summer’s Art Celebration.
The annual Holiday Art Fair is a juried fine arts and fine crafts fair of visual and performing arts. The show is staged throughout the Dance Museum’s galleries and foyer.
Booths are set up like individual mini-galleries featuring the works of over 45 invited artists and crafts people.
They have been selected locally and nationally. Paintings, handmade jewelry, photography, drawings, prints, sculpture, mixed media, ceramics, fiber, metal and glass pieces are all original works of art and are available for collecting and gifting in every price range.
There will be demonstrations and children’s art activities to inspire creativity.
The Art Fair includes music and visitors ma see a dance performance by Half Moon Tribal, at noon Sunday. There will be free hands-on children’s art projects and a variety of food items from Fitzy’s Fork, a catered cafe.
In addition to the Art Fair, visitors may see the museum’s current exhibits, “Gender Neutral” and “Dancers in Film.”
Also, there will be a farmer’s market next door to the museum as well, on Saturday and Sunday.
Admission to the Art Fair is free with a donated item to benefit a local food pantry and mental health services. Or visitors may donate $3.
Admission includes the Holiday Art Fair and the National Museum of Dance exhibits.
