AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY: The Henry Cornell Post 234, American Legion Auxiliary, holds its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 5, at 23 Pleasant Street, Ballston Spa. GALWAY PRESERVATI­ON SOCIETY: The November 5 meeting of the Galway Preservati­on Society will feature the program “How Silent and Stern this Fate Looms: World War I and the Influenza Epidemic of 1918,” presented by Anne Clothier, Director of Education at Saratoga County Historical Society at Brookside Museum. Meetings are held at the Galway Town Hall, beginning at 7 p.m. with a social time, refreshmen­ts and very brief business meeting. The public is invited to attend. TOYS FOR TOGA KICKOFF: Beginning Monday, November 5, members of local communitie­s can donate new, unwrapped toys to help spread holiday cheer Just look for the cardboard box with a Toys for Toga logo at participat­ing businesses. . On December 13, all donated toys will be distribute­d equally to the Franklin Community Center, CAPTAIN Community Human Services and Mechanicvi­lle Area Community Services Center. BALLSTON SPA BPA NETWORKING BREAKFAST: The Ballston Spa Business and Profession­al Associatio­n sponsors a networking breakfast on Tuesday, November 6, from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m., hosted by the Milton branch of Trustco Bank, located at 2 Trieble Road in Ballston Spa. TUESDAY TALK: Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site conducts its fourth annual Tuesday Talk series to recognize New York State History Month this November.
