SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y >> A Saratoga Springs man has been charged with assault and multiple drug offenses following an incident on Caroline Street.

Christophe­r Crumble, 23, was charged with second-degree assault, and both third- and fourthdegr­ee criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Police say Crumble allegedly assaulted a 30-yearold male on Caroline Street by repeatedly punching him in the head and face. This assault caused several facial fractures that required emergency medical treatment.

When taken into custody on the assault charge, Crumble was found in possession of more than four grams of powdered cocaine, which lead to the narcotics charges. Crumble was arraigned and committed to Saratoga County Jail on $30,000 cash/ $60,000 bond.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> Saratoga Springs City Police report the following arrests:

• Unlicensed operation: Thomas J. Greiner, 28, of Watervliet, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Avenue of the Pines at 1:35 a.m. Monday.

•DWI: Lauren J. DeMetreus, 23, of Malta, was charged with driving while intoxicate­d, driving with blood-alcohol content higher than .08 percent and following too closely, after being involved in a three-car accident at 5:21 p.m. Sunday on Ballston Avenue in Saratoga Springs.

• Trespass: Shawn M. Johnson, 36, of Saratoga Springs, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9.
