SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> Thousands of people descended upon the 2018 Chase Con’s Saratoga Comic Con at the Saratoga Springs City Center.

Some people came dressed as their favorite comic book characters and superheroes.

The event, which typically draws anywhere around 5,000 people, featured hundreds of vendors, special celebrity guest appearances by David Yost of Power Rangers fame among others and cosplay panels.

“This is our fourth fall show, we started in 2015. We’re now the largest comic con in the Capital Region,” Samuel Chase, President of the Chase Con Expo LLC. said of the event. “Our Saratoga Comic Con is known as a comic and pop culture event. We have over one hundred vendors, anime, collectibles, toys, comics, art, a lot of famous artists and local artists.”

Chase said that there is plenty of activities for people to do while enjoying the weekend event.

“We have gaming tournaments with Super Smash Bros and VR, we have magic the gathering tournaments run by Coopers Cave Games and Paintball,” Chase said of some of the different activities for people to partake in. “Our charity is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention of the New York Capital Region run by the Montreal X-Men and Hudson Valley Ghostbusters,” Chase added.

The two-day fall event runs through Sunday, Nov. 18.
