Winter events at Hudson Crossing Park
SCHUYLERVILLE, N.Y. All are welcome to visit Hudson Crossing Park next weekend for two winter events that were rescheduled due to weather.
On the third weekend in January, the park’s Take a Friend Snowmobiling event was postponed due to lack of snow, and the day after its annual Winterfest was rescheduled due to too much snow.
The two events, traditionally held on the same weekend, have been rescheduled for February.
“Take a Friend Snowmobiling and Winterfest were rescheduled for this month after we were hit with a major storm for our original dates in January,” park director Kate Morse explained. “While we always have a back up ‘no snow’ date on the calendar for both Winterfest and Take a Friend Snowmobiling, we weren’t expecting to have to reschedule it due to too much snow!”
Now that the snow is here, Hudson Crossing Park is ready to host these winter events, welcoming attendees to spend an afternoon enjoying the snow and the park.
The Take a Friend Snowmobiling day, presented by Saratoga County and Washington County Snowmobile Associations in cooperation with the New York State Snowmobile Association and New York State Canal Corporation, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Hudson Crossing Park.
Then Hudson Crossing Park’s Winterfest, themed “Han Snowlo: A Winterfest Story” this year, will return from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17.
Looking forward to the new dates, “We are thrilled to be able to give people a full weekend of free, family-
rescue by Schuyler Hose, want to enjoy the guided bird walk, or want to have some fun with the Crazy Hat Head Contest and Snow Bowling, Hudson Crossing Park really does offer something for everyone during Winterfest.”
