At SEMICON West 2019, Saratoga Partnership to market Saratoga County
MALTA, N.Y. >> The Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership, a Saratoga County-based economic development organization, is preparing to pitch the advantages of Saratoga County to the global semiconductor world at SEMICON West 2019, the industry’s largest conference and trade show being held next week in San Francisco.
SEMICON West connects the entire extended electronics supply chain, from materials, equipment, design, manufacturing, system integration, and demand channels to new verticals and adjacencies such as Flexible Hybrid Electronics (FHE), MEMS and Sensors, and more.
As the home of GLOBALFOUNDRIES, the world’s most advanced semiconductor manufacturer, and a growing ecosystem of leading equipment and materials suppliers, Saratoga County is fast gaining worldwide recognition as a destination for innovative micro and nanoelectronics companies.
With top semiconductor industry executives and businesses in attendance, Saratoga Partnership President Marty Vanags and Vice President Shelby Schneider have meetings scheduled throughout SEMICON West that will further promote the county’s significant assets.
“With the global semiconductor industry gathered at SEMICON West, we have a tremendous opportunity to market Saratoga County to a highly desirable audience,” Marty Vanags, President of the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership said. “There is no substitute for face-to-face interactions, and we plan to take full advantage to ensure Saratoga County is top of mind for companies considering prime locations for expansion and growth,” Vanags.
Several hundred exhibitors, more than 100 hours of diverse programming, and dozens of networking opportunities will take place at SEMICON West, providing the insights, access, and technical and business intelligence needed to get ahead in today’s disruptive, fastchanging business environment. As always, this year’s conference — BEYOND SMART — will feature cutting-edge educational and training sessions covering today’s most advanced applications and technologies, presented by leading industry speakers.
Together with a series of private meetings at SEMICON West, the Saratoga Partnership will also be collaborating with regional economic development agencies as part of the New York Loves Nanotech contingent.
Additionally, Vanags and Schneider will engage with prospects at targeted networking events, and participate in educational programs that highlight the semiconductor industry’s current and future roadmap.
SEMICON West is being held July 9 through 11 at the Moscone Center. For more information, one can visit www.semiconwest.org.
