FLAG RETIREMENT: Waterford Harbor Farmers Market will be accepting worn, torn flags for their proper disposal on Sunday, July 7, from 9:00 am to 1:00pm. The flags will be delivered to the Saratoga County Veteran’s Agency. Gold Star Mothers cut stars from worn-out U.S. flags, Each star is washed and pressed, then placed in a small bag with a note that reads: “I am part of our American flag that has flown over a home in the U.S.A. I can no longer fly. The sun and winds have caused me to become tattered and torn. Please carry me as a reminder that you are not forgotten.” These stars are distribute­d to men and women who have served in the Armed Services. Waterford Harbor Farmers Market is located at One Tugboat Alley and operates each Sunday from the first Sunday in June until Columbus Day weekend from 9:00 to 1:00.

WALKING TOUR: “The Spa Complex” Join Linda HarveyOpit­eck on a tour of the Spa Complex which is the core of the Spa State Park, National Historic Landmark. Learn the history leading to its developmen­t which involved key local and national individual­s while exploring the architectu­re and landscape. SUPER BINGO: Ballston Spa Elks Lodge will be hosting Super Bingo on Saturday July 13th at 1pm. The payout prize will be $2500 along with a $1000 coverage all. REPAIR CAFE: At Schuylervi­lle Public Library (52Ferry Street) on Saturday July 20 everything centers on making repairs. Starting from 11am and ending at 2pm, various volunteer repair experts will be available to help make all possible repairs free of charge. Most tools and materials will also be on hand. People visiting the Repair Café will bring along their broken items from home. Toasters, lamps, hair dryers, computers, radios, clothes, bikes, toys... anything that is broken and small enough to carry is welcome (please do not bring anything leaking oil or creating a mess or odor) and can more than likely be repaired.
