Three Troy residents flee in vehicle following larceny

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. >> Three Troy residents were arrested on multiple drug charges, fleeing a police officer in a vehicle and petit larceny after stealing an item from a local retailer.

George G. Conrad Jr., 42, Jessica Watson-Brown, 27, and Zoe Lovelace, 25, all of Troy, were arrested on July 1, and each was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Conrad was additional­ly charged with third-degree fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, seconddegr­ee reckless endangerme­nt, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, petit larceny, and seconddegr­ee criminal use of drug parapherna­lia.

Troopers were called to Boscov’s department store in Clifton Park yesterday after a theft was reported. As police responded, the suspect’s vehicle was observed traveling east on Sitterly Road and a traffic stop was attempted.

The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Conrad fled. Troopers pursued the vehicle a short distance before it came to a stop.

Conrad was found to be in possession of a stolen vacuum cleaner from Boscov’s, as well as drug parapherna­lia, and a quantity of a white powdery substance believed to be heroin.

A further search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed that Brown-Wat

son and Lovelace were each in possession of a glass pipe containing crack cocaine residue.

All three suspects were transporte­d back to State Police Clifton Park for processing where they were issued appearance tickets answerable in Halfmoon Town Court on July 11, at 7 p.m
