Three Troy residents flee in vehicle following larceny
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. >> Three Troy residents were arrested on multiple drug charges, fleeing a police officer in a vehicle and petit larceny after stealing an item from a local retailer.
George G. Conrad Jr., 42, Jessica Watson-Brown, 27, and Zoe Lovelace, 25, all of Troy, were arrested on July 1, and each was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Conrad was additionally charged with third-degree fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, seconddegree reckless endangerment, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, petit larceny, and seconddegree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Troopers were called to Boscov’s department store in Clifton Park yesterday after a theft was reported. As police responded, the suspect’s vehicle was observed traveling east on Sitterly Road and a traffic stop was attempted.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Conrad fled. Troopers pursued the vehicle a short distance before it came to a stop.
Conrad was found to be in possession of a stolen vacuum cleaner from Boscov’s, as well as drug paraphernalia, and a quantity of a white powdery substance believed to be heroin.
A further search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed that Brown-Wat
son and Lovelace were each in possession of a glass pipe containing crack cocaine residue.
All three suspects were transported back to State Police Clifton Park for processing where they were issued appearance tickets answerable in Halfmoon Town Court on July 11, at 7 p.m
