Monday, July 8 OAKWOOD’S FREE SUMMER CONCERT ON THE LAWN: Summer is finally here so strike up the band! We welcome the Colonie Town Band at 7pm on Monday July 8th as they perform a free program of popular and classical music, rousing marches and lively show tunes. Bring your own chair or blanket and claim a spot on the lawn in front of the Earl Chapel. Sing along with your favorite tunes. Children (and the young at heart) will have the opportunit­y to conduct the 60-piece band’s final march. Our popular strawberry shortcake will be available for purchase from the Friends of Oakwood. POTLUCK PICNIC: The summer potluck picnic of the Stephentow­n Historical Society will be Monday, July 8, at 6:00 p.m. at the Stephentow­n Firehall Pavilion, 35 Grange Hall Road, Stephentow­n, New York. The society is providing hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls and condiments, as well as table service and beverages.
