Crown Salon a one-stop shop for hair, skin, nail and makeup services
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> New local business Crown Salon is giving customers the royal treatment, offering hair, skin, nail and makeup services in the Spa City.
Created for today’s fastpaced lifestyle, Crown Salon is a luxury express maintenance salon aiming to provide top of the line products and services in the shortest amount of time.
When a customer combines different services, they’re often performed simultaneously. For example, a client may get a pedicure while their hair is being colored at the same time. This concept is designed to save time for clients with busy schedules.
At Crown Salon, those with limited time can receive a full range of day spa services performed quickly and efficiently by highly skilled professionals.
“It’s kind of a one stop shop,” business owner Ann-Marie Flores said.
Services available at the new salon include haircuts for men women and children, color processes, blowout and shampoo, extension application, special occasion upstyling, custom makeup application, pedicures and facials.
“We change a lot of people’s looks for them,” Flores said.
The luxury express maintenance salon concept is relatively new to the area. “I tried it at my last salon and it worked great, but then I wanted to go bigger,” Flores said.
So far, the response has been great and the salon’s first few weeks have been very busy, the owner noted.
“People love it,” Flores said of the concept, “because they want everything, they just don’t have time for everything.”
After opening its doors in early June, Crown Salon recently celebrated its grand opening at a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce. At the event, chamber president Todd Shimkus gladly welcomed the Crown Salon crew to the local business community.
Prior to embarking on this latest entrepreneurial endeavor, Flores has been in the industry for the past 25 years. Crown Salon is her fourth salon. Just before starting Crown Salon, Flores was a partner in the nearby hair salon Swagger.
Looking ahead to the future, Flores said her goal for Crown Salon is to expand into offering more express services such as massage.
The atmosphere at Crown Salon, which features modern decor and custom-made furniture, is meant to be professional, fun, glamourous and comfortable for both men and women.
To help create this vibe, Flores has hired a team of three employees, and has a goal of sharing Crown Salon’s success with them in the future. “This is my retirement, this is my legacy leaving it to these girls and growing them in the industry,” she said.
Located in a brand new building at 15 Ballston Ave. in Saratoga Springs, Crown Salon is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Crown Salon also hosts special events each month.
