Man charged with crimes against children
HALFMOON, N.Y. >> A Halfmoon man was arrested and charged with multiple offenses following an investigation into his contact with children under the age of 11 at his home in the Town of Halfmoon. James J. Satalino, 69, of Clifton Park, was charged with two counts of a criminal sexual act in the first degree, use of a child in a sexual performance, sexual abuse in the first degree, criminal sale of marijuana, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The investigation determined Satalino had oral sexual contact with at least two children, resulting in the charges for criminal sexual act in the first degree.
Satalino is charged with sexual abuse in the first degree for additional sexual contact with one of his victims.
It is alleged that Satalino also took sexually revealing photos of his alleged victims prompting the charge for use of a child in a sexual performance.
Satalino is further charged with criminal sale of marijuana for providing to a child items containing marijuana for consump
tion.
Satalino was arraigned before Judge Fedora in the Halfmoon Town Court where he was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bail bond.
Satalino is scheduled to appear in the Halfmoon Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. The investigation is continuing, and further charges may be added in the future.
