Brad Paisley’s 2019 World Tour entertains fans at SPAC
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> Country music fans packed the Saratoga Performing Arts Center Thursday night to watch Riley Green, Chris Lane, and Brad Paisley perform an entertaining show.
The three American country music singers came to SPAC as part of Paisley’s 2019 World Tour.
Green kicked off the show with several songs, including “I Wished Grandpas Never Died”, “Get That Man a Beer,” and “There Was This Girl.”
After Green’s roughly 30-minute performance, Lane then came out to the stage and performed several songs, including “Take Back Home Girl,” “I Don’t Know About You,” and “Big, Big Plans.”
Before performing “Big, Big Plans,” Lane shared with the audience the meaning behind that song. He said he wrote that song before he proposed to his fiancé, Lauren Bushnell, in June of 2019.
While performing “For Her”, Lane brought two young fans up to the stage and sang the song to them as they smiled and waved to the crowd with him. Afterward, Lane gave the two fans autographed T-shirts.
Lane also took another fan’s cowboy hat and performed with it during a few songs. For his last song, “Take Back Home Girl,” Lane moved off the stage and walked around the venue greeting fans.
After listening to Lane during his interactive performance for roughly 45 minutes, Paisley then came out and performed for over an hour.
Paisley sang some of his hits such as “This Is Country Music,” “American Saturday Night,” “My Miracle,” and “Mud on the Tires.”
Paisley also engaged well with the fans throughout his performance. At one point, Paisley took a Saratoga High School student’s cellphone and took Snapchat photos and other photos on her phone. As he had her phone, a friend of the student, who was also at the concert, FaceTimed the girl’s phone and Paisley answered it and talked to her on the video chat.
Paisley also acknowledged members of the U.S. Marines, by bringing out a few Marines on stage and thanked each of them for their service.
Paisley also greeted a young
fan that wore a shirt that said it was the first concert that they were attending, so Paisley gave the young fan his guitar after performing a song with it.
During his interactive performance, Paisley also brought out a mascot lookalike of himself and showed various photos and videos on the screen behind him while performing.
Fans also had the chance to see themselves on the screen, as there was a “Kiss Cam” that showed various couples on the monitors.
Towards the end of his setlist, Paisley brought Lane and Green back out to join him on stage and the three country singers signed a young fan’s cowboy hat. At the end, Lane came back out again and drove around the stage on a scooter while Paisley performed.
Paisley also noted that Saratoga Springs is “one of his favorite spots to play,” and I think the fans in attendance Thursday night would agree that the performance by him, Lane and Green, was an entertaining show to be at.
