The National Museum of Racing was incorporated in historic Saratoga Springs, New York, in 1950 and moved to its present site on Union Avenue, across the street from Saratoga Race Course, in 1955. The Hall of Fame was created to recognize and honor deserving horses, jockeys, and trainers. Known as the Gallant Man from its first running in 1985 until 1991, the turf race for 3-year-olds was run at 1 1/8 miles until 1995. In 1996-97, it was run at 1 1/16 miles, and returned to 1 1/8 miles from 1998 until 2010. From 2011, it was again carded at 1 1/16 miles.

Chad Brown continues to rule another stakes race at Saratoga Race Course, winning the last four installments with Raging Bull (2018), Bricks and Mortar (2017), Camelot Kitten (2016) and Takeover Target (2015)

Joel Rosario was on board the last two winners with Irad Ortiz, Jr. riding the early two winners for Brown and aboard Wallyanna (2014) for Michael Pino.

Bricks and Mortar is a name that continues to roll off the tongue of horse racing fans, undefeated in 2019 and capturing the Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1) at Gulfstream Park, Muniz Memorial Handicap (G2) at Fair Grounds, Old Forester Turf Classic Stakes (G1) at Churchill Downs and the Manhattan Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park on June 8.

The dark brown horse has earned more than $4 million to date and has hit the board in every start with nine first-place finishes and a pair of thirds. He is listed as probably for the Aug. 19 Arlington Million (G1) according to www. horseracingnation.com
