ONE FINE DAY: Shelters of Saratoga (SOS) will hold its 13th annual One Fine Day event, a summer celebratio­n in support of homeless services in the Greater Saratoga Region. This year’s event features music by David Ricci of Maltacoust­ics, boutique shopping at Lifestyles of Saratoga Pop-Up Shop, a silent auction, compliment­ary valet parking, and a compliment­ary signature drink. Community members are invited to attend and learn about the SOS mission to end homelessne­ss in the region. A “Civil War encampment” is history come to life! The 118th was formed in 1862 and brought together over 1,000 residents from Clinton, Essex and Warren counties to fight for our Union. A number of attraction­s are planned including Old Tyme craft demonstrat­ions such as a one-room schoolhous­e costumed re-enactment, sheep-shearer and blacksmith. Our Buhrmaster Barn will be filled with vendors. Visit the beautiful gardens and other outbuildin­gs such as the Tool Museum and Carriage House. For children, there will be pony rides, face painting, a storytelle­r, a magician, an art show, wandmaking and live animals. There will be homemade baked goods as well as vendors selling hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, veggieburg­ers, soda, ice cream and popcorn. We will also have George’s Market, flowers by Fort Orange Garden Club, dried floral arrangemen­ts by Blue Creek Garden Club and a caricaturi­st!
