BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. >> The Hudson Mohawk Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society will host its 30th Anniversary Antique Truck Show this weekend.

The event, which attracts lots of truck enthusiasts each year, is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22 at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa. Gates will open at 8 a.m. each day, rain or shine.

The show typically hosts more than 300 antique trucks of all sizes and from original condition to showroom new restorations, pickups to 18-wheelers. Trucks come from all over the northeast and Canada to be a part of the local show.

Additionally, antique tractors and engines will be on display at the festival, which will also feature a large flea market.

“Spectators to the show can expect to see trucks of all ages and sizes, from Model Ts to brand new

models and everything in between,” said show chairman Jeff Wojtowicz of the Hudson Mohawk Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society. “Whether you were a truck driver, just had a pickup truck or just remember seeing these vehicles on the road, this event is sure to bring back memories of the past.

“With over 300 trucks expected, there is something for everyone.”

The Hudson Mohawk Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society serves antique truck enthusiasts in northeastern New York. The chapter’s primary focus since its inception in 1990 has been preserving antique trucks and the trucking history in upstate New York.

Admission to the 30th Anniversary Antique Truck Show is $1 per person and there is no registration fee for antique trucks. Parking is free. No pets are allowed.

“Thanks to the support of our corporate sponsors we are able to keep our admission cost to only $1 per person, which makes this a really affordable family activity on a beautiful September weekend,” Wojtowicz said.
