Fifth annual Startup Saratoga event on Wednesday

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> As the tech scene in Saratoga Springs continues to grow, the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and AT&T are presenting the fifth annual Startup Saratoga event to showcase area companies and entreprene­urs pitching their business ideas.

The event, including networking and a pitch event hosted by Startup Tech Valley, is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Racing City Brewing Company, on Excelsior Avenue, in Saratoga Springs.

“This Startup Saratoga event historical­ly attracts more than 200 people who come out for the chance to meet up and hear from startups and area entreprene­urs about their new ventures,” said Todd Shimkus, president of the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, in a press release. “We are excited to be able to host the fifth annual Startup Saratoga event this time at the Racing City Brewing Company. We’re also thrilled to have AT&T’s as a partner for this event and our regional efforts to grow the tech economy.”

The presenters will include Aurelius Coworking, which builds and operates coworking communitie­s in middle markets and opportunit­y zones; Knitt LLC, a dynamic platform that connects the right charities to the right donors to foster stronger communitie­s and smarter giving; The Relief Room, a new destructio­n therapy business that allows clients to destroy, destruct and demolish a wide variety of items; and CultureTal­k, leveraging organizati­onal culture as a strategic tool while driving measurable value in recruiting and retention, M&A, branding and leadership developmen­t, as well as an update from Hudson Reality Capture.

“AT&T is proud to team up with Startup Tech Valley and the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce to power Startup Saratoga again this year because it provides a unique forum for local innovative thinkers and makers to share their creative, entreprene­urial and technologi­cal ideas with the community and potential investors,” said Benjamin Roberts, director of public affairs for AT&T, in the release.

“Our support for this event grows out of our ongoing commitment to foster local innovation by providing opportunit­ies in New York for entreprene­urs, technologi­sts, makers and developers to create new technologi­es and ideas that could positively impact their communitie­s and strengthen the Capital Region’s growing innovation economy.”
