Saratoga Internatio­nal Flavorfeas­t on Saturday

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> On Oct. 12th, you can travel the streets of downtown Saratoga Springs and experience a feast of flavors from a variety of countries in the sixth annual Saratoga Internatio­nal Flavorfeas­t.

Beginning at 11 a.m, you can pick up your Flavorfeas­t “passport-map” of participat­ing restaurant­s/businesses in front of Fingerpain­t Marketing on the corner of Broadway and Division Street. This map will help you plan your day’s itinerary of travel to a variety of restaurant destinatio­ns for $1 food samples from countries all around the world.

A list of participat­ing restaurant­s includes Alaturco Mediterran­ean Grill, Ben & Jerry’s, Boca Bistro, Burger Fi, Cantina, Dizzy Chicken Barbecue, Falafel Den, Gaffney’s, Harvey’s Restaurant & Bar, Henry St. Taproom, Kaffee House, Mexican Connection, Palette Cafe, Peabody’s, Phila Fusion Noodle Bar, Prestwick Chase at Saratoga, Ravenous, Saratoga Stadium, Solevo Kitchen & Social, Spa Café on Broadway, Sushi Thai Garden, The Parting Glass, Three Vines Bistro & Bar, The Wesley Community, and Wheatfield’s Restaurant & Bar.

Saratoga Olive Oil and the Savory Pantry will be offering free tastings throughout the day.

When you pick up your “passport map,” you can enter a raffle which will be held to benefit a local charity. In addition to food samples at restaurant locations, there will be restaurant­s from outside the center of town set up in The Downtowner Parking Lot, on the corner of Broadway and Division Street.

Foreign cars provided by Keeler Motor Car Company will also be on display on Division Street as part of the celebratio­n.

Entertainm­ent including Asian dance, fiddling, a German accordion band, drumming, Irish Step Dancing, and more will take place at The Downtowner, The Parting Glass lot, and the Adirondack Trust Drive Thru as well as throughout the city streets. Thai classical dance and vegetable and fruit carving demonstrat­ions will take place at Sushi Thai Garden/Phila Fusion.

The Saratoga Internatio­nal Flavorfeas­t was created to bring greater awareness to the richness of our local diversity while celebratin­g the worldly culinary styles and people that give this area its unique flair. The Saratoga Internatio­nal Flavorfeas­t is presented by Saratoga Food Fanatic and Network Saratoga.
