Sullivan-Clinton Campaign 1779 Symposium set
JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. >> The Fort Plain Museum is presenting the Sullivan-Clinton Campaign Against the Iroquois 1779 Symposium on Nov. 2. The lineup of topics and speakers include:

• Total Destruction and Devastation: the George Washington We Remember G. Peter Jemison
• Making the Most of a Little: The Evolution of an American Strategy for 1779 Joseph R. Fischer
• Amateurs Talk About Tactics, but Professionals Study Logistics: Supplying the Sullivan Expedition of 1779 - Robert Mulligan
• Clinton’s Dam: Colonial and Native Contexts - William A. Starna
• From the Mohawk to the Susquehanna: Clinton’s Brigade route across the Portage in 1779 - Wayne Lenig
The symposium will end with a panel discussion where attendees can ask a panel of experts questions regarding the Sullivan/Clinton Campaign of 1779.
This event will be held at The Fulton-Montgomery Community College, lo
cated at 2805 NY-67, in Johnstown, N.Y.. It starts at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude at 4:00 p.m.
Admission fees are $50 for advance registration, $60 at the door and there is a discounted rate for students of $30. The admission fee includes a lunch sandwich buffet and refreshment breaks. There will be speaker books available for purchase.
Pre-registration is recommended, and walk-ins are welcomed.
