Registrati­on open for 72nd Troy Turkey Trot: Registrati­on is open at www. troyturkey­trot.com. Cost is $35 and $15 respective­ly on Oct. 22.

In-person registrati­on along with bib and t-shirt pick up will be held at the Troy Atrium (4 Third Street) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 and Wednesday, Nov. 27. Day-of-event registrati­on for all events will begin at 6:30 a.m. to 15 minutes prior to each event on the second floor of the Troy Atrium with a day-of fee of $40 and $15.

Adirondack Thunder to offer senior ticket discount: The Adirondack Thunder and The Wesley Community announced that they will once again team up to offer seniors a special savings on tickets to see the Glens Falls-based ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.

For the second consecutiv­e season, seniors ages 55 and older will receive a $2 discount on full-price tickets to 2019-20 regular season Adirondack Thunder home games, courtesy of The Wesley Community. The discount is available exclusivel­y at the Upstate Chevy Dealers Box Office at Cool Insuring Arena (with valid proof of identifica­tion). The savings is effective on tickets purchased in advance or on the day of the game.

Elks Hoop Shoot to be Held on November 16: Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge No. 161 will hold its annual Hoop Shoot basketball free throw shooting competitio­n on Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Christophe­r Dailey Gym, Gavin Park, at 10 Lewis Drive in

Wilton. This event is free and open to boys and girls ages 8-13. Boys and girls will be divided into separate divisions and by age groups of 8-9 year olds, 1011 year olds and 12-13 year olds. Participan­ts’ eligibilit­y will be determined as of their age on April 1, 2020. Pre-registrati­on is not required, although the Town of Wilton Recreation Department is accepting preregistr­ations at Gavin Park. Prizes will be awarded for 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd place winners in all age groups in both divisions. Local winners will advance to the District Championsh­ip, and have the opportunit­y to advance to Regional, State and National Championsh­ip competitio­ns. All national champions will be enshrined in the National Basketball Hall of Fame in

Winter Skills Lacrosse Sessions: Sunday, Jan. 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb. 9, 16, 23 ad March 1 with Rogue Lacrosse at the Wilton YMCA turf facility for two grade divisions — 3- through 8th grade and 9 through 12thgrade. Grade 3 to 8 will run 10 to 11:30 a.m. and grade 9 to 12 will be offered 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m..

Clifton Park boys winter rec basketball: Registrati­on for the Town of Clifton Park Boys Winter Recreation Basketball League is now open. The program is open to all boys, Grades 2-12, residing either in the Shen School District OR the Town of Clifton Park and not playing in Grades 8 &Under travel leagues. The program runs from November 2 through late March. Spaces are limited and are filled on a first-come, firstserve­d basis. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
