Capital Region Chamber staff member wins coveted business award

-

The Capital Region Chamber is pleased to announce that one of our own staff members, Director of Talent Development Brandi Landy, has been recognized with a prestigious “40 Under 40” award by the Albany Business Review.

Although she resides in Halfmoon with husband Joe Landy, children Carter (2) and Joseph (1), and has been with the Capital Region Chamber since 2011, Brandi may be a less familiar name in the southern Saratoga County business community because she has spent that time working down on Wolf Road. With the affiliation between the Chamber of Southern Saratoga

County and Capital Region Chamber this past January, Brandi’s talents are now available to serve her home community in a far greater way. She is responsible for managing two of the Chamber’s premier workforce development programs – Leadership Tech Valley (LTV), and the Tech Valley Young Professionals Network (YPN).

In her role with Leadership Tech Valley, she is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing an annual ten-month interactive program that provides skill development and community immersion experiences for professionals in the Capital Region. Her responsibilities with the Tech Valley Young Professionals Network include managing the YPN Professional Development Program and overseeing YPN

Campus Connect and the Executive Mentorship Program. These programs help connect young talent to the greater regional business scene, helping nascent professionals gain necessary experience and confidence as they work with the more seasoned businesspeople throughout the capital region.

In addition to working at the Capital Region Chamber, Ms. Landy is active in the community, serving as a board member for United Way of the Greater Capital Region, Chair of the United Way Community Investment Impact Committee, member of Women United, and member of the Advisory

Board for the Capital Region Women@Work magazine. Brandi is also a former member of the Albany Symphony’s NextGen Committee and graduated from the Capital Region Chamber’s Leadership Tech Valley Program in 2015.

Ms. Landy holds a master’s degree in public communications from The College of Saint Rose, and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Cazenovia College.

The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County’s (CSSC’s) annual local business recognition event is coming up on June 11 at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Clifton Park, sponsored by Ellis Medicine and other supporters. Nominations for the Salute to Business Awards will be accepted until 5PM on Thursday, April 2, 2020.
