HERITAGE HUNTERS: CANCELED - Heritage Hunters of Saratoga County will meet on Saturday, March 21st, at 1 pm at the Town of Saratoga Town Hall, corner of Rt. 4 and Rt. 29 in Schuylerville. Chris Martin, Chief of Natural and Cultural Resources for the Saratoga National Historic Park, will discuss an archaeological dig that took place in May 2019. Led by William Griswold, the work was carried out by 33 veterans who came from all over the country. It focused on a short battle in 1777 that changed the course of the Revolutionary War when 12,000 American soldiers surprised 1700 hungry British and German men. The goal of the dig was to help determine where in the old wheat field the different troops fought. Used was aerial survey, metal detecting, digging, and ground penetrating radar. Public is welcome. BROOKS BBQ AND ANNUAL SPRING AUCTION: CANCELED -Stillwater United Church is holding a Brooks’ Chicken BBQ dinner on Saturday, March 21st from 4:00-6:30, until “sold out” in Stillwater United’s Fellowship Hall at 747 Hudson Ave. across from Post office. Dutcher Community Room of the Saratoga Springs Public Library. Sustainable Saratoga and the Saratoga Springs Public Library are hosting another Repair Café. Repair Café is a free community event with the goals of repairing broken objects to extend their life, keeping things out of landfills, and fostering an appreciation for the art of repairing things. Volunteer repair coaches will be available to help you repair your broken items free of charge. The coaches provide the tools and we supply basic materials to repair common items. People visiting the Repair Café will bring along their broken items from home. Lamps, clocks, hair dryers, clothes & textile (repairs & minor alterations), dolls, small kitchen appliances, jewelry, wooden toys & small furniture...most things are welcome and can more than likely be repaired with the help of a knowledgeable Repair Café coach. We cannot guarantee we can fix everything, but we are pretty sure you will have a good time! Bring what you can carry (limit of 2 items), and let a repair coach help you fix it. Please note: you are encouraged to actively participate in fixing your item and you must remain present during the repairs. FAMILY SATURDAY: CANCELED - The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College has canceled its Spring 2020 Family Saturdays, a series of multigenerational creative collaborations on each Saturday from February 15 through April 4. WORLD WATER DAY BEER RELEASE PARTY: CANCELED. No longer a party but still releasing cans and draft this Friday, March 20. WELLNESS WALK: CANCELED - On Monday, March 23rd at 11:00am Wilton

Wildlife Preserve & Park will be holding a Wellness Walk led by Linda Hovious, fitness instructor at the Saratoga Springs YMCA. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a winter walk on the trails at Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park! The Wellness Walk is geared towards gentle exercise and the enjoyment of nature and will be accessible for participants at basic fitness levels. The walk will depart from the Camp Saratoga North Trailhead kiosk. Registration is appreciated as the program could be cancelled if there is bad weather. If needed, snowshoes will be available for rental 30 minutes before the program; free for members, $3 for non-members. If there is no snow, the program will take place without snowshoes. The Wellness Walks are a bi- monthly activity with the next walk scheduled for April 6th at the Old Gick Farm trailhead located on route 50. FARMERS & FRIENDS SOCIAL: POSTPONED -Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County in partnership with Saratoga PLAN, are hosting the Farmers and Friends Social on Tuesday March 24th from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at the legendary Cock’n Bull Restaurant in Galway, NY. The event is free,

with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a lite dinner served. There will be drinks available for purchase. In years past, the social has been exclusively for farmers; however, the farming community extends so much further than the farmers themselves, inviting “friends of farmers” was organic. This year, the hope is to provide the agriculture community the opportunity to mingle, network, and enjoy themselves... while eating the delicious farm-to-table food from the Cock’n Bull. Participants are encouraged to “wear their logos” in an effort to facilitate easy collaborations. Kevin Bowman, of Bowman Orchards, and Chuck Curtis, of Willow Marsh Farms, will be sharing unique and innovative techniques they’re using to stay current in this ever evolving market. Ultimately, the goal of this social is to bring people together, as a community; working to make a living doing what is loved. Pennie Gonzalez, event manager wrote “It is with great sadness that we are canceling the 2020 Capital District Garden & Flower Show after receiving notification that NYS has placed an indefinite ban on large gatherings. This was not an easy decision, nor one taken lightly. At this time of crisis, it is most important to keep our sponsors, vendors, supporters and visiting families safe.” The Capital District Garden & Flower Show will be back March 26-28, 2021 to continue the most anticipated springtime tradition in New York’s Capital Region. MALTA FLEA MARKET: After two successful outdoor seasons at the Malta Drivein, the Malta Flea Market will move indoors for the winter. BENEFIT CONCERT: On Sunday, March 29, 2020 at 7:00 pm, musicians of the Saratoga Youth Symphony, Saratoga Preparatory Symphony and Skidmore College, are having a collaborative concert to benefit the Franklin Community Center.
