VIRTUAL DANCE CLASS: Tango Fusion Dance Company is offering free online dance classes on Mondays and Tuesdays starting at 6:30 p.m. on the Tango Fusion Facebook page. Tuesday classes will include beginner salsa, intermedia­te salsa and intermedia­te West Coast swing. Each week’s class will review lessons from the week before and then add more. The classes are designed for people with an at-home dance partner or to dance solo. No partner or experience is necessary to participat­e. The directors welcome participan­ts to type in questions or comments while the class is in session. FARMERS & FRIENDS SOCIAL: POSTPONED -Cornell Cooperativ­e Extension of Saratoga County in partnershi­p with Saratoga PLAN, are hosting the Farmers and Friends Social on Tuesday March 24th from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at the legendary Cock’n Bull Restaurant in Galway, NY. The event is free, with compliment­ary hors d’oeuvres and a lite dinner served. There will be drinks available for purchase. In years past, the social has been exclusivel­y for farmers; however, the farming community extends so much further than the farmers themselves, inviting “friends of farmers” was organic. This year, the hope is to provide the agricultur­e community the opportunit­y to mingle, network, and enjoy themselves... while eating the delicious farm-to-table food from the Cock’n Bull. Participan­ts are encouraged to “wear their logos” in an effort to facilitate easy collaborat­ions. Kevin Bowman, of Bowman Orchards, and Chuck Curtis, of Willow Marsh Farms, will be sharing unique and innovative techniques they’re using to stay current in this ever evolving market. Ultimately, the goal of this social is to bring people together, as a community; working to make a living doing what is loved. Pennie Gonzalez, event manager wrote “It is with great sadness that we are canceling the 2020 Capital District Garden & Flower Show after receiving notificati­on that NYS has placed an indefinite ban on large gatherings. This was not an easy decision, nor one taken lightly. At this time of crisis, it is most important to keep our sponsors, vendors, supporters and visiting families safe.” The Capital District Garden & Flower Show will be back March 26-28, 2021 to continue the most anticipate­d springtime tradition in New York’s Capital Region.
