FUNDRAISER TAKEOUT DINNER: On Friday, May 15th, Saratoga Knights of Columbus #246 will be holding another Fundraiser Takeout Dinner, but with new information for ordering. First of all, this week’s dinner will feature only one meal, which will be a Barbecued Half Chicken with Baked Beans and Corn-on-the-Cob for $15.00. Rather than the family-style meals for 2 or 4 that have previously been done, these will be individual meals. There will be no children’s meals available this week. The phone number to place an order or ask questions is 518-584-8547, and call-in hours for this week will be from 1:00-3:00 ON TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND THURSDAY. THERE WILL BE NO CALL-IN HOURS ON FRIDAY. Since barbecuing the chickens will take place outside of the building, there will be no one on hand to take calls and no one to retrieve messages if left on the KOC answering machine. Pick-ups will begin at 4:30. We will continue filling orders until 8:00 or until we have run out of food. We will still have 4 pieces of dessert for $5.00 as our supply allows. These events take days of shopping, requiring many trips to purchase food, take-out containers, and necessary items needed for food preparation, especially now that there are so many limits on quantities which can be purchased at one time, and prices have been increasing constantly, with no sales to take advantage of. Additionally, days of preparation to make the food is required, and volunteers are very limited. Your support of these events is extremely important to enable the Knights to continue providing meals at no cost to the homeless, the veterans, and the many service agencies in our community. POLISH FOOD NIGHT: Friday May 15 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Take-out only! Curbside pick up call in advance. Tell your friends and family! Call your order in early! We will celebrate our 20th anniversary with the June 4-6, 2021 festival. We fully understand the impact this will have on our community as we are aware the balloon festival serves as most of the communities largest fundraiser of the year. Not that we are not hopeful the state of New York and our country will be back up and running by June, our very generous sponsors will not be in a position to support us this year as their businesses have suffered. We have said many times in the past, sponsors are what makes this happen and we cannot do it without them! Please stay tuned throughout the year for updates on our Facebook page, our website and in press releases for dates on our artists/poster unveiling and pre-sales of our 20th anniversary official merchandise. Please stay healthy and safe as we get through these trying times together!
