Saratoga County reports four new cases
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. » Saratoga County Department of Health Services reported an increase of six positive Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases Friday.
There are 414 confirmed positive cases, 72 active, with 328 recovered. Of the confirmed cases, there are six individuals hospitalized, with 14 COVID-19 related deaths. There are a total of 2,114 people who have been in quarantine or isolation — 299 currently.
To date, 7,410 county residents have been tested.
Clifton Park has the highest number of confirmed cases in the county with 87, while Halfmoon has 66. Saratoga Springs has 42, with Wilton and Malta next at 32 and 27, respectively. Moreau has 22 confirmed positive cases, with Mechanicville next at 19.
Milton has 18 confirmed cases, with the town of Ballston and Northumberland following with 14 and 13, respectively. Greenfield has 11 positive cases, Waterford has 10, followed by Stillwater (9), Galway (7), Ballston Spa (7), town of Corinth (5), Schuylerville (5), Glens Falls (5), town of Saratoga (4), Round Lake (3), Charlton (2), Providence (2), Waterford (2), village of Corinth (1) and Hadley (1).
The Saratoga County Office of Emergency Services, meanwhile, provided reusable cloth masks to each county municipality. Residents in need of a cloth mask should contact their Town or City Hall for one.
Additionally, residents can attend a cloth mask and hand sanitizer distribution event on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. until noon, or until supplies run out at Ballston Town Hall, 323 Charlton Road, Ballston.
