Saratoga County reports 3 new cases

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. » The Saratoga County Department of Public Health Services reported three new positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.

To date, there have been 432 confirmed cases in Saratoga County.

On Monday, the county reported its 15th death from COVID-19.

Officials said there have been 344 recovered cases with 73 cases being labeled as active.

The county has tested 8,636 residents so far. To date, 2,200 residents have been in isolation or quarantine.

Clifton Park has reported the most positive cases with 94, while Halfmoon has 66. Saratoga Springs has 44 cases, with Wilton and Malta next at 35 and 27 cases, respective­ly. Moreau has 25 positive cases, followed by Mechanicvi­lle and Milton at 19 and 18, respective­ly.

The town of Ballston reported 14 cases, with Northumber­land at 13. Greenfield and Waterford follow at 11 and 10 positive cases, respective­ly.

Rounding the list of municipali­ties with positive cases are Stillwater (9), Galway (7), Ballston Spa (7), South Glens Falls (6), town of Corinth (5), Schuylervi­lle (5), town of Saratoga (5), Round Lake (3), Charlton (2), Providence (2), Waterford (2), Hadley (1) and village of Corinth (1).

With this week being National EMS Week, county officials thanked EMS staff.

“Saratoga County wants to take a moment to recognize the frontline staff across the county, including our own EMS personnel, and send them a big thank you,” county officials said in a news release. “Our emergency responders have been working incredibly hard and have been dedicated to helping our residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. We encourage all residents to thank an EMS worker today.”
