SLIGHT INCREASE
Saratoga County sees uptick in positive COVID-19 cases
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. » As the Capital Region moved closer to Phase 2 of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s New York state reopening plan, Saratoga County saw a slight increase of positive Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
Officials confirmed 467 total positive cases on Thursday, up three from the previous day, with six of those individuals hospitalized — an increase of one. Of the positive cases, 49 are active, up two over the last 24 hours. In addition, 404 have recovered — an increase of one.
Fatalities remained at 15, with 10,386 tests administered to county residents. Officials notes that “deaths, recovered cases and active cases, when added together, do not equal the total number of confirmed cases. That is because one of the previously reported deaths happened out of the state, but was never counted as a confirmed case within the county.”
Clifton Park has 102 positive cases, with Halfmoon next at 70. Saratoga Springs follows with 50, Wilton has 35, followed by Moreau at 31 and Malta at 30. Mechanicville is next at 19, with Milton having 18 positive cases. Ballston and Northumberland have 14 each.
Greenfield has 12 confirmed cases, with the town of Corinth, Stillwater and the town of Waterford having 10 each. Galway, Ballston Spa and South Glens Falls have seven each, followed by town of Saratoga (5), Schuylerville (5), Round Lake (3), Charlton (2), Providence (2), village of Waterford (2), Hadley (1) and vil
