1. What is Kelly’s Kitchen?
“Kelly’s Kitchen is a certified and licensed small retail bakery located in Saratoga Springs. As a new member of The Saratoga County Chamber and Saratoga DBA, we are thrilled to become part of this wonderful community!”
2. What does the business offer?
“Kelly’s Kitchen proudly bakes and provides a variety of delicious, madefrom-scratch desserts for any occasion! We offer a wide range of baked goods such as cakes, cupcakes, muffins, pastries, cookies & more! Some of our most popular items include an ultimate Reese’s peanut butter cake, double dark chocolate cupcakes and mini strawberry cheesecakes. One of our favorite offerings is custom birthday cakes for kids! In addition, Kelly’s Kitchen is happy to work with you to produce any treats that include dietary restrictions including gluten free, peanut free and vegan.”
3. Why did you decide to start this business?
“Whereas I’ve always enjoyed baking for my husband and kids, only about a year ago I started baking for friends and family. From what began as a self-taught hobby instantly turned into a real passion! I quickly launched a Facebook page and started networking ... from there my name kept spreading and my business kept growing! My little home-based business was turning into much more than I could have ever imagined. Knowing that I couldn’t continue baking at this capacity out of my (small) home kitchen and with much encouragement from my husband and close friends, I decided to just go for it! I started working with a local commercial real estate agent and she found me the perfect starter location! I am so excited to start this next chapter of my journey and can’t wait to share it with my community!”
4. What will your future location feature and when do you plan to open this space?
“Located on RT 50 just a couple miles past the Wilton Mall, Kelly’s Kitchen will offer fresh baked treats daily for “grab-and-go” purchase as well as coffee and tea from local Saratoga vendors. It will also be the baking and pick up location for all custom orders! There will be bistro style seating for those wanting to sit and sip coffee while enjoying some beautiful displayed artwork from local artists!
“As construction is still underway, Kelly’s Kitchen plans to be open for business mid-late July! Stay tuned for details on our grand opening celebration & ribbon cutting ceremony!”
5. What is your goal for the future of Kelly’s
Kitchen?
“As we continue to grow and build our already amazing customer base, we always want to continue feeling like that small goto hometown bakery. One thing we look forward to in the near future is possibly offering baking birthday parties for kids, teaching them that baking is fun, interesting, and delicious! The future also holds the possibility of offering more food options such as small breakfast and lunch meals.”
