Theories and Techniques of Coaching: Class dates are July 18 and 19, from 7 am to 5 pm. This is one of the courses required to coach in New York State high schools. Theories and Techniques of coaching will be taught in Guilderlan­d at the Vent Fitness Center at 2080 Western Avenue in the Hamilton Square Mall.

The cost is $195 if registered prior to July 2. $250 will be required after July 2. Tuition is non-refundable but can be credited to future classes. Email John Metallo at johngmetal­lo@live.com with questions.

All Skills Baseball Camp: The Sports Barn / Hayner Academy will be conducting three weeks of all-skills baseball camps this summer July 27 – Aug. 31, Aug. 3 – 7 and Aug. 17-21 at the Halfmoon Town Park from 9:00am – 12:00pm.

Baseball Catching Camp: The Sports Barn / Hayner Academy will be conducting a Late Summer Baseball Catching School with Norm Hayner for players transition­ing to the bigger field on August 10 and 12 for ages 10-12 (9:00am – 10:15am on Field #2) and ages 12-14 (10:30am-11:45pm on Field #1) at the Halfmoon Town Park.

All Skills Softball Camp: The Sports Barn / Hayner Academy will be conducting its annual Miss Shen Junior Softball All-Skills Camp July 20-24 from 9:00am12:00pm for ages 8-14 at the Clifton Park Commons Complex. BOYS SUMMER LACROSSE: Capitallan­d summer lacrosse programs will be starting July 6 and go through mid August with half day camps and evening programs. Our programs are open to all beginners, novice, and advanced skilled players in grades K through 10 throughout the Capital District at a fraction of the cost of other local programs. Our staff includes some of the finest past and present coaches in the Capital District. Our summer lineup includes: Tuesday evening lacrosse programs, July 7– August 4; Day camps, 9 am to noon on July 6 through 10, and July 13 through17; Night camp is 6 pm to 8 pm August 3 –7.

In each of our programs we will have the following age and skill levels: A 5 – 9 grade advanced

skills Coach Corner; A 5 -10 grade novice skill program; A 5 - 10 grade beginner skill program; A 2 - 4 grade full equipment program for all levels of players; A co-ed grades k – 5 noncontact learn to play program.
