Ward motorsport artwork on display at auto museum

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » Saratoga Automobile Museum is presenting the motorsport artwork of lifelong automotive painter Simon Ward in its latest exhibit.

This exhibit, which will be displayed in the Museum’s Dammerman and Rosen Galleries through Sunday, Nov. 1, showcases art that has been painted throughout Ward’s career.

Ward was born in 1964 and developed a love of motorsport­s at an early age. His first Grand Prix was the 1972 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch. His paintings have been commission­ed by numerous motorsport­s teams, owners and fans.

Ward’s artwork hangs permanentl­y at the Sebring Regional Airport, home of the first world championsh­ip endurance race, a circuit he has been associated with for several decades.

HIs work has also been exhibited in both Great Britain and the United States, including an exhibition at the renowned British Grand Prix F1.

“The Saratoga Automobile Museum is excited to showcase these stunning pieces of motorsport­s art,” executive director Carly Connors said in a press release. “Simon’s generosity in bringing his work to our Museum will enhance our visitor’s experience­s and the paintings tie in nicely with our Dyson Racing: The Private Collection exhibit.”
