Schenectady woman arrested twice in same day
CLIFTONPARK, N.Y. » On Oct. 15, at approximately 8:42 a.m. State Police stopped Parvatie Sukhram, 29 of Schenectady, on Interstate 87 in the Town of Colonie. According to Troopers, a check of the vehicle Sukhram was operating revealed it to be reported stolen by Saratoga County Sheriffs.
Sukhramwas arrested and charged with felony thirddegree criminal possession of stolen property.
StatePolice saya searchof Sukhramfoundher to be in possession of debit cards belonging to the registered owner of the stolen vehicle and she was wearing a jacket that was reported stolen from a different vehicle. Sukhramwas transportedtoStatePolice barracks in Latham for processing and additionally charged with felony fourth-degree crimina possession of stolen property and misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal possessionof stolenproperty. Sukhram was arraigned and released to Saratoga County Sheriffs in regard to the alleged stolen vehicle.
Later that evening at 5:40 p.m. State Police received a call of a woman in Clifton Park attempting to gainaccess to vehicles inaparking lot. Uponarrivingonscene, police found Sukhramwho admitted that she was attempting to steal a car from the area.
Sukhramwas again placed into custody, this time for attempted felony fourth-degree grand larceny, andbrought to StatePolicebarracks in Clifton Park for processing.
Sukhram was released to EMS and transported to Ellis Hospital.
