STILLWATER FALL FESTIVAL: Halloween during COVID doesn’t have to be scary! The Stillwater NY Fall Festival is hosting a Drive-Thru Trick or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 31fromnoon until 4. Monday, Nov. 2 AUXILIARY MEETING:

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 234will hold their monthly meeting on Monday,Nov. 2. The meeting will be held at the Post home on 23Pleasant Street, Ballston Spa, at 7:00pm. HORSESHOE TOUR: The Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway will offer its annual “Origins of the Modern Horseshoe Tour” again this year. Henry Burden of Troy was the first person in history to make horseshoes by machine, and by the Civil War his mills were producing 51million shoes a year. The tour begins at the Burden Iron Works Museum with an overview of Henry Burden and his developmen­t of machines to make horseshoes. Afterwards, participan­ts will be led on an optional hike to the site of the famous Burden water wheel. On Monday, November 16th at 10:00am Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park will be holding a Wellness Walk led by Linda Hovious, fitness instructor at the Saratoga Springs YMCA. This is a great opportunit­y to enjoy an Autumn walk on the trails at Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park! TheWellnes­s Walk is geared towards gentle exercise and the enjoyment of nature and will be accessible for participan­ts at basic fitness levels.
