OPENING CELEBRATION
Ortho NY celebrates ribbon-cutting for Clifton Park location
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. » OrthoNY has opened its newest location in Clifton Park.
The 40,000 square foot facility has all of its services under one roof, including painmanagement, physical therapy, and imaging capabilities. The new building is located at 1768 Route 9 and is already accepting clients.
At a ribbon cutting ceremony, local and state elected officials gathered with OrthoNY staff to celebrate and pledge their support to the business. OrthoNY’s relationship with Clifton Park goes back many years.
“Twelve years ago, OrthoNY was one of the first investors during the time when we were looking to expand healthcare and hospitality as part of our redevelopment plan,” Town Supervisor Phil Barrett said.
The new location marks development not just for the town of Clifton Park, but for Saratoga county and the Capital Region in general.
“The Capital Region Chamber is expanding, and it’s exciting to be working with new partners,” said Pete Bardunias, senior vice president of community advancement with the Chamber.
The new location, which was built with safety during the pandemic in mind, is home to a team of specialists in a variety of orthopaedical disciplines. Dr. George Silver, president of
OrthoNY, anticipates that there will be good communication between departments, because everyone will be in the same building, which will lead to better patient care.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be here,” Silver said. “We’re very happy to have established a home in Clifton Park. With the advanced technology we’ve got inside, we’ll be able to provide more efficient and higher quality care.”
State Sen. Jim Tedisco, who gave Silver a citation for the new facility, agreed.
“You provide an important service with tremendous care,” Tedisco said.
Silver is also going to receive a citation from Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh.
“We’re very proud of this,” said OrthoNY Chief Operating Of ficer Michele Brinkman. “A lot of thought and care went into the building design for safety. There are barriers in thewaiting roomand break room, and we have signs that remind people to wear masks and focus on social distancing.”
The new facility has many safety features inside, including shields covering all reception desks to protect both staff and patients. The building is outfitted with updated HVAC systems and high quality air filters. Signs in the break room remind staff to wipe down their tableswith the provided Clorox wipes when they are done.
