Vin Le Soir benefit to be held virtually Nov. 4

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » The eighth annual Vin Le Soir, a unique wine tasting and themed dinner event to benefit AIM Services, Inc. will be held virtually on Nov. 4.

This year, the chefs at Longfellow­s Restaurant have prepared a three- course, Argentinem­enu.

Guests will pick up their dinners and return home to enjoy them while participat­ing in a live online video journey to Argentina experienci­ng its food, wine, music and dance.

The dinner menu pairs two bottles of CaliVista wine from Argentina, compliment­s of Specialty Wines & More.

In addition to an Argentine cultural journey and wine tutorial, the evening’s online video program will feature the work of AIM’s Employment Services Department.

Each year, October is celebrated as National Disability Employment Awareness Month (#NDEAM). This year is the nation’s 75 th observance of NDEAM and the video will highlight meaningful stories of people’s work experience­s and the support they receive from AIM Services.

“AIM is designated as an ‘ Employment First’ organizati­on,” AIM Services executive director Chris Lyons said in a press release. “In other words, we honor the principle that, first and foremost, the preferred option for people with disabiliti­es is gainful employment in the workforce. The people we serve choose to work whenever possible and we do our best to make that option a reality.”

AIM Services, Inc. is a nonprofit organizati­on providing residentia­l and communityb­ased services to people with physical and intellectu­al disabiliti­es, including those with traumatic brain injuries and those who are looking for nursing home transition or diversion.

Lyons continued, “The pandemic hasn’t stopped us. I am very proud of our staff and the men and women we serve for going above and beyond to stay safe, keep others safe and still get out and advance their lives and careers.”

AIM Services, Inc. board president Brian Gwynn, who also serves as the the “Wine Guy” of Specialty Wines & More, is honored to once again support this important fundraiser. “I am particular­ly proud of how our team has changed formats to bring an exciting and interestin­g experience to our supporters while educating the mon wine, food, culture and the essential work of AIM Services in our community,” he said in the release, “all during this difficult time in our lives.”
