SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » The Saratoga Springs Downtown Special Assessment District board recently approved a $10,000 donation to the Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association to be used for a variety of programs encouraging downtown shopping, eating and lodging.
“The Saratoga Downtown Business Association is extremely grateful for our continued partnership with the Special Assessment District,” association president Deann Devitt said in a press release. “This collaboration is an important piece of the puzzle, providing extra support to our downtown businesses during such an uncertain time.
“Although we cannot host our normal fun events in the same way, we hope that through this partnership, we can create reminders that Downtown Saratoga is still a vibrant downtown filled with wonderful shops and restaurants for all to enjoy.”
Saratoga Springs Downtown Special Assessment District chairman Harvey Fox added, “The Saratoga Springs Downtown Special Assessment District Board values our partnership with the Saratoga DBA and we aim to help our community during these unprecedented times.”

The revenues, assessed to property owners, are utilized to make physical improvements within the district and implement additional programs to ensure a healthy downtown.
The Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association is an organization of more than 200 business owners within the Saratoga Springs Downtown District. The association plans a variety of programs and events to encourage visitors to downtown Saratoga Springs.
