CONVOY FORTOTS: The seventh annual Convoy for Tots - the Capital Region Toys for

Tots campaign’s single largest donation intake event is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8 andwill travel from the Ballston Spa High School campus at220 Ballston Ave. in Ballston Spa to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center parking lot on Route 50in Saratoga Springs. This year, the public is invited to participat­e in a toy drop-off from 9to 10:30 a.m. at Ballston Spa High School, prior to the convoy’s departure at approximat­ely 10:45a.m. This donation opportunit­y is new this year, created specifical­ly for those whowould prefer to donate at an outdoor event. As always, Toys for Tots collection boxes will be set up at various local businesses throughout the Capital Region in the coming weeks for anyone looking to make a donation in this manner. Additional­ly, several emergency response agencies will have collection boxes available at their stations. Capital Region Toys for Tots accepts donations of new, unwrapped toys, as well as monetary donations. VIRTUAL FESTIVAL OF NATIONS: Free, virtual event starting at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov .8 online atwww. Festival of nations. net. This year we are celebratin­g the 49thy ear of the Festival of Nations. For 49years the festival has provided a platform for the ethnic groups of the Capital Region to share their ethnic identity. PUMPKIN GLOW& LIGHT SHOW: Ellms Family Farmis launching a new fall themed attraction. The Pumpkin Glow & Light Show Drive-Thru is an enchanting Halloween experience that features a pumpkin wonderland with thousands of hand carved illuminate­d jack o’ lanterns. Guests are invited to be immersed in themagic from the safety and comfort of their own vehicle. The DriveThru experience boasts single pumpkin carvings to larger than life dazzling light displays. Ellms Family Farmhas partnered with master carvers that are bringing all of the Halloween spirit to life. VETERANS DAY DINNER: Cohoes-Waterford Elks Lodge #1317presen­ts a Veteran’s Day take out Chicken Parmesan Dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9at 45N.Mohawk St. in Cohoes. The meal includes chicken parmesan, pasta, salad, bread and dessert. Veteransea­t free.

FREE CARWASH FOR VETERANS: For the 15th consecutiv­e year, Hoffman Car Wash and Hoffman Jiffy Lube will show appreciati­on to the men and women who serve the United States of America. On Wednesday, November 11th, all active and retired military personnel will receive a free car wash at any of the 17Exterior or Full Service Hoffman Car Wash locations. Additional­ly, all military members can receive a $9.99Hoffman Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change. Military personnel are not required to present ID; the event will be run on the honor system. Since 2006, Hoffman Car Wash has washed 55,000vehicle­s belonging to U.S. veterans and active-duty personnel during the Veterans Day event.
