Knights of Colum­bus #246will be host­ing a Fundraiser Take­out Roast Beef Din­ner on Fri­day, De­cem­ber 4th, from 5:00-7:30 at 50Pine Rd, Saratoga Springs. Meals will in­clude 8oz. each of ten­der Roast Beef, Mashed Pota­toes with Gravy, a Veg­etable, Salad, and Rolls for $15.00each. Be­cause of the plan­ning in­volved, or­ders must be called in ahead of time. At our last event, we ended up run­ning out of food, and in­di­vid­u­als who waited to call at the last minute were un­for­tu­nately not able to be ac­com­mo­dated. TREE LIGHT­ING & HOLIDAY PA­RADE:

The Ball­ston Spa Busi­ness and Pro­fes­sional As­so­ci­a­tion is mak­ing ev­ery ef­fort to keep the holiday spirit alive even if COVID-19 re­stric­tions to large gath­er­ings re­quire a dif­fer­ent ap­proach to the cel­e­bra­tions. On Fri­day, De­cem­ber 4at 6-6:30pm, Santa will light the vil­lage Christ­mas tree fromthe bucket of a fire truck in Wiswall Park. The tree light­ing will be live-streamed on the BSBPA Face­book Page. For those who may choose to come to the park, New York State COVID-19 so­cial dis­tanc­ing and mask re­quire­ments will be fol­lowed. Fol­low­ing the tree light­ing, res­i­dents should be sure to peek out their front win­dows or stand at the end of their drive­ways as Santa will pa­rade through neigh­bor­hoods in the vil­lage, along with the Ball­ston Spa Po­lice and Fire De­part­ments and Com­mu­nity Emer­gency Corps’ am­bu­lance col­lect­ing Toys for Tots. The ap­prox­i­mate route and times will be posted closer to the pa­rade date on the BSBPA Face­book Page. The BSBPA spon­sors a down­town holiday win­dow dec­o­rat­ing con­test, which in­spires some beau­ti­ful dis­plays in shop win­dows along the main streets. Ad­di­tion­ally, the vil­lage-spon­sored an­nual holiday com­mu­nity art project “5,278Points of Light”, un­der the di­rec­tion of local artist Mark Blech, will fea­ture hand-painted ban­ners dis­played on lamp­posts through­out the vil­lage and an or­na­ment dec­o­rat­ing com­pe­ti­tion. So never fear, Santa is com­ing to town, there will be a tree light­ing and whim­si­cal com­mu­nity made dec­o­ra­tions. Vil­lage shop win­dows will be dec­o­rated, and good cheer will abound. Catholic Char­i­ties of Saratoga, War­ren and Wash­ing­ton Coun­ties in­vites the local com­mu­nity to un­wrap the magic of the holiday season at their 25th an­nual fundraiser - The Fes­ti­val of Trees - on Wed­nes­day, Dec. 2through Sun­day,

Dec. 6, at the Saratoga Springs City Cen­ter. With COVID-19pre­cau­tions in place, the Fes­ti­val will once again show­case beau­ti­fully dec­o­rated trees, wreaths and other holiday and gift items for purchase. Fes­ti­val pro­ceeds will ben­e­fit the pro­grams of Catholic Char­i­ties of Saratoga, War­ren and Wash­ing­ton Coun­ties. New this year, the com­mu­nity will also be able to view and purchase trees online at https://give.classy.org/fes­ti­val­trees. Hours vary as fol­lows: Wed­nes­day 5-7pm; Thurs­day 4-9pm; Fri­day 2-6pm; Satur­day 12-6pm; and Sun­day 11-2pm. Tickets are $8per per­son, $5for Se­niors, $3for ages 10-18 and free for any­one 10and un­der when ac­com­pa­nied by an adult.
